I have Modesta coated on top of the PPF. Perhaps a bit more clarity( no pun intended) the PPF is resistant to the environment than a Bare Porsche.

The benefit of having a hydrophobic film is that it makes the vehicle easier to clean and mud or grime has a more difficult time bonding with the vehicle’s surface. Now with other films you can (and probably should) apply a Ceramic Coating on top of the film, and that will give the surface hydrophobic properties. But with the LLumar and SunTek films you already have that built into the film itself.

My Expel is pretty hydophobic. I was commenting on the dust line. No chance i'm putting Ceramic over it. To each his own.

My OEM chrome badging was removed (by ppf dealer) before Xpel installation and re-installed (by me) on top of my film. Second P-car I've done and they last similarly. I made a template using blue painters tape and marked reference points, as well as took considerable pictures beforehand.

You Sir are an A$$, but you speaketh the truth. I had the template around the letters on a white car. It drove me nuts. I removed all the PPF from the entire rear of the car, and the doors.

At least half of my car now looks perfect. The PPF is must on the front, and the side hips, (That makes them one piece, and no ugly stone flector) But just the ceramic coat is way nicer. Time over again, I would just do the front.

I like the stripes. Where did you get them? Any chance of a front view?

Thank you! These are vinyl and were done by my installer (Clear Auto Bra) in Maryland Heights, MO.

My PORSCHE logo was manually applied and had a slightly crooked “R” too...

My PPF guy didn't use a template but he measured it precisely (showed me photos of how he did it). He did a fantastic job and they look perfect to me.

And I would NEVER do the cutouts in the PPF. They look awful. And could wind up looking like this: (note: NOT my car!)

next black car I get will be entirely wrapped. Can't get swirls in the paint if its covered.

Very happy I went with a full wrap! First time I have ever had it done but I was very pleased with the results.
