Default Jackpoint Jack Stands

Used them this weekend to hold up front end when swapping wheels. Worked as advertised. Very stable.

Hi STG, I'll buy them off you once you're ready to sell.

Their patent was first granted in 2009, so around 2029 or so...

I believe the owner of the company is an attorney.

Will do. I had someone else message me first, so I'll let you know that falls through.

I faced the same problem. I emailed them to ask about this. I was offered to get on a "blemish" list. If you look in the photos, mine are not black or shiny (finished). I had a set of these from the blemish list within 3 weeks.

I'm trying to understand why people would choose 4 jackpoint stands over. let's say, the quickjack https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-4...k=AAAAAAUBAQEB - after you throw in a floor jack to use them, the price is not that much more of a stretch to get greater clearance under the vehicle and from what I can tell, excellent stability/safety. I don't think storage space would be much different either, seeing as you can flatten the quickjacks and hang them on a wall, then store the pump mechanism somewhere. Once initial assembly is out of the way, getting the car in the air with quickjack might be faster, and in a tight garage space, room to pump a floor jack handle can be an issue.

Don't have either but am shopping my options for something safe, affordable and convenient/portable

Agreed. I weighed both options (still do). Already had a floor jack, and was initially only looking for 2 jack stands, to help me decide against a lift. That, and, at the moment, I mainly intend to do wheel and brake work only, where I won't need the entire car lifted. Lastly, I did see a youtube video of someone using homemade jack stands (stacked 2x10's and a puck sized block on top) to demonstrate how to jack up a 911 at all four points using a floor jack and a scissor jack. While certainly not as convenient, I can see where I could jack up a side of the 911, at the rear, placing a non-Jackpoint jack stand at the front, and 1 of my 2 Jackpoint stands at the rear. Repeat for the other side.

For a few hundred dollars, I’d play it safe and get 2 more JackPoints if the entire car has to be lifted. The wide foot print creates an extremely stable platform.

You're a lucky man. I had to wait 4 months for mine.
