Narrow-body to wide-body?
Is it possible to convert narrow body to wide body by replacing quarter panel, and rear bumper? Does anyone have an experience?

HUGE expense. Anything is possible, but more commonly you add flares to the existing narrow body unit rather than replacing quarter panels.

Anything is possible with enough time and money, but it's probably a lot more than just rear quarters and bumper. On a 993, it also includes rockers, an inner fender support piece, fender liners, and muffler tips. Huge amount of work. Can't imagine it's any simpler on a 991.

Extra 1.7" width is make me crazy. It is day and night different. It is the same difference as Brazilian and Japanese girls rear ends. Unfortunately in my country it is difficult to sell and buy such car as 991.2, no offers on the market.

You would need wide-body wheels as well. I don't think that spacers behind narrow-body wheels would work/be safe.

You ready to spend like $30K USD?? That's minimum. Sawzall off the fenders, weld new ones ones on, repaint half the car, etc.
Maybe Sam Zamir can chime in here.
This is quite an insane request.
Buying another car would be cheaper.

I totally get the wide butt appeal. I paid 7k extra to get my C4 even though I didn't want the AWD and extra weight. But that 1.7" just looks hot. You will be paying more than 10X that much for your 1.7".
Maybe one of these firms can help. Big bucks though.

You're way better off to just trade your car in. The modification will cost a boatload of money, and the end-result will be a car that ironically has huge depreciation as well because 90% of us would never buy it with that kind of work.

Boba_kz I am a big fan of the wide rear end. I like them on cars and women but I really think you are trying to do something that will be way too costly and in the end may not look like you are planning. It is much better to wait till you are ready for a new 911 and look at the widebody then or trade and get one now. Too many things too change and not economically sound.

This will no longer be an issue when the 992s arrive.
