LMAO, you're approaching this correctly. I added a word for you though.
My 2014 C2S has the PASM Sport suspension along with PSE and SC with PDK. I like the PASM Sport suspension a lot and specifically looked for a car with that option. It is a bit low but rides fine from my perspective although mine Isn't a DD. I don't work out quite as much as you so I'll post a photo of my car instead. Got my car ready for a track day this weekend.
Here I am enjoying my 2017 cab test drive. More than we want to spend though.
Reading into your comments I think you'd be MORE than happy with the 2013. Would be good to look at exact builds to confirm my advice, but for $20K less you're getting 98% of the performance all else being equal.
I would lean towards a local car, but that’s just me. I have a 991S with X51 kit,SC, 7 spd, etc. Best looking thing about the widebodies are the the trim/light piece between the lights on the rear bumper and the plastic trim pieces under the side rockers (though someone on here has detailed how to add those). Good luck...-Dom
Yes. Tons o' buttons! It also has full leather, side-bolster adjustable seats (the ones that wrap you) and the high-end audio. My husband is an audiophile and knew the brand; said they make some of the best gears in the world for 2-channel. The car isn't exactly quiet though, not sure it matters. The dealer said it was over $140,000 new.
I personally would recommend the GTS, it's the sweet spot in the 911's and comes with a lot of options at a lower original cost; you'll enjoy it much more and probably keep it a lot longer. The only other thing is I always recommend getting the newer car. The GTS is the way I went when it was between it and a Turbo, but they were new and it was a straight up comparison. BUT, when it gets down to it, it'll be your car and you have to be happy and take responsibility for it!!!
The GTS is not $20k better if they are identically equipped.
Go to porschevon.com and plug in the VIN. Will give you factory build sheet. That will also help us in assisting with your decision.
Personally i I love Aqua and the C2S is plenty of car. Is it a GTS? No, but when equipped with S PASM, PSE, Sport Chrono it’s damn close. I’d go for that one and save the cash.
I would vote GTS. I am biased, as I own a 991.1 GTS cab. I previously had a 991.1 C2 (not an S). Great car but the GTS is head and shoulders better. Comparing S to GTS - 400 hp (minus the X51 power kit) vs 430 hp for the GTS (I am assuming they are both 991.1s - I saw one is 2013). Small but in my opinion not insignificant advantage GTS. The GTS has the wide rear end - big advantage GTS. Not only does it look great, but it definitely makes the car more planted around twists and turns. The soundtrack of the GTS is sublime. The S with an X51 probably sounds similar but I have read elsewhere in RL that it does not sound the same. So if sound is important to you, another victory for the GTS. The GTS also has less sound deadening. For some that would be advantage S but for those who appreciate the noise, that is a win for the GTS. I would not buy the GTS sight unseen. I'd travel two states over and take it for a spin. I don't think you will be disappointed that you did. Good luck with your decision - a great tough decision to have!
I’m biased to the GTS as I have a 991.2. However it is tough to pass up a local car if it checks all the boxes for you. If you are going to drive it and put miles on it, who cares about resale. (I bought mine for me and not the next owner, I’d suggest you do the same).
Out if state trip trip isn’t too difficult but it’s a bigger pan for sure. Ultimately you aren’t going to go wrong with either. No need to overthink it,buy whichever speaks to you. You aren’t going to be thinking about the one you didn’t pick when you are out enjoying the 911 you did.

Not sure where you read that about the sound but, having heard both in person, I would say that is absolutely false. The hardware for both is identical from an intake/engine/exhaust perspective to an S with PK. As far as feeling more planted? Probably, but I’m sure the wider rear tires help (which come on some “narrow body” cars - techno wheels, for example). Don’t get me wrong, GTS represents a great value and overall product it’s just a matter of outlining the actual differences vs. imaginary ones -Dom
