Default Front skid plates for 2015 GTS?

He folks

Well I pulled the trigger yesterday on a 2015 GTS. The lower front panel is being re-painted and I was curious if you have any ideas on a front skid plate. Scrape Armor makes one but Jesus it's $500. But if it keeps the problems at bay maybe it's worth it.

Any input?

$500 seems reasonable in the world of Porsche. How much is it costing for the repaint?

VERY COOL product, that I never even knew existed!

In my experience, it will be very hard to avoid even some contact here or there, so it is not worth the $ for such a product.
Just replace and repaint the OEM unit which IIRC is $80 or so. My 2cents.

I've used skid plates on several cars and they work wonders. Not sure what a re-paint costs. Probably $250 or so.

IIRC - if i recall correctly.

Where are you located?

I live in NYC and have used skidplates in the past, so I see the utility. But anything as low as a GTS front valence is gonna get some rash here or there. I had a GTS w Aerokit Cup, and happen to even be an expert in avoiding a scrapage, but ending up with some collateral damage. Even if you pay through the nose for the Scrape Armor, you will probably still end up with some rash there. Porsche made this part cheap for a reason... bc they expect it to get damaged.

So again, it is your $, but i wouldn't bother. It's gonna take some damage if you drive it regularly (and depending upon locale).
