Carrera T Spolier Up/Down parameters
So as I’ve been getting to know my 911T over the past 10 days or so and roughly 300 miles, there is one thing that I’ve noticed so far that I’m not so sure is normal behavior: the car is really spoiler happy. I mean it constantly wants to raise the spoiler whether I’m exceeding 75 mph or not. It seems even if I’m accelerating moderately hard and the car thinks I’m going to exceed 75mph, it pops right up. Any kind of aggressive behavior seems to trigger it.
Hell, even this morning in pouring rain and 40mph traffic it decided that it was time to erect. In a normal Carrera you wouldn’t even know bc you can’t see the spoiler but in the T you can and it’s parameters are driving me crazy.
So what triggers the spolier to raise and then come back down?

Clearly, you have a "boy" car.

Happens to all of us. He's just getting excited.

#MeeToo.
Seems like it pops up at 50mph. Not 76mph (as I was used to on my last car). Then, since it doesn't retract until (what?) 25mph??? It leaves you crawling through semi-slow-rush-hour traffic with your spoiler 'broken'. #Embarrassing.

And also if you have either the glass or regular sunroof, and open it or tilt it, the spoiler will go up another notch at 80 MPH to nearly duck tail state.

hahaha this is why I love Rennlist. I should have known I would get those responses by using the word "erect"!
I'm happy to hear that others have the same experience and it isn't just my car. Now that I know the car is just spoiler happy, I'll just live with it ...

Same here! I have definitely noticed my bright yellow rear spoiler in the rear view mirror coming up around the 50mph mark.
Don't know about the rest of you, but I think the 991 Carrera looks MUCH more attractive with the rear spoiler down.

Silly Q from a 991.1 guy, how come it's visible ? I can't see mine and the body shape looks similar...
And +1 on "the 991 Carrera looks MUCH more attractive with the rear spoiler down".. Suncoast just lowered the ducktail cost by a few hundreds...

I believe that on the Carrera T, the rear spoiler rises to a more steep angle than on a regular Carrera.

Good video. That presenter is quite a character!
A crime not to order LWBs in your T!
A crime to order PDK!
