The problem with Chinese tires is that there is very little to no testing that goes into the tires, from either a materials or performance perspective. The traditional big names have decades of experience behind them and they deserve to get our business because they've made the R&D investments. Buying cheap tires is false economy best left to Cobalt owners.

While I wouldnt use them for anything remotely near other cars/actual driving, they are cheap enough that I would totally have no problem using them to hoon around a empty parking lot. Slapping on low grip tires and messing around at low speeds is pretty fun.... one of the few ways you can get modern sport cars loose at somewhat sane speeds.

That said, I never take chances on cheap rubber for anything I ride/drive. Anything that happens because you skimped out on tires is a lot more expensive to fix than just buying better tires to start with.
