Default Eibach Lowering Springs Question

Got a question on the Eibachs. I know the whole Techart/Eibach/H&R thing has been discussed 1000x over.

I'm looking at the specs for the Eibach Pro-kit and I see their advertised drop as 0.8" in the front and 0.5" in the rear. This translates to approximately 20mm in the front and 12mm in the rear, which is a lot less than what I've seen people mention in other threads. Specifically, I've read that the general consensus is that Eibach makes the Techart springs and should basically be the same thing but the Techart springs are saying 25mm-30mm for a non-PASM car. So which is it?

My understanding is that even though the springs are made for TÁ they are to their spec.

Meaning the Eibachs are not as low as the TA?

eyebrake, thanks for the link but it hasn't cleared up my confusion. Is there a difference in the final ride height when putting springs on in a PASM vs non-PASM car? I assumed that the springs lower different amounts due to the differing starting heights but that the final height should be the same.

In that thread, R_Rated mentioned that the Eibachs sit lower than SPASM, which can't possibly be the case if the lowering amount is 20mm/12mm (from non-PASM/stock) as is mentioned in the description...

I think your logic is correct that final ride height of Eibach should be the same whether SPASM, PASM, or non-PASM. Based on the comment on the Eibach site "Designed and tested for PASM electronic dampers only.", I would guess that their published drop is for a PASM-equipped model. If Techart's published drop is for Non-PASM that would make sense. 25-30 per Techart. 20 / 13 for Eibach (PASM), so calculated 30 / 23 for Eibach (non-PASM).

I will be installing Eibach soon on my PASM C2. I consider myself very discerning and particular, but will be happy with anywhere between 1/3" and 1" drop.

Correct.

I myself went though the great spring debate recently, and after months of deliberation I went with H&R. The springs have settled nicely, and I couldn't be happier.

Code, out of curiosity, what made you go for the H&R? Any thoughts on ride quality/steering feel compared to OEM?
