Default Rolling Cooler to Fit In C4 Frunk

I need to transport food (mostly refrigerated) to my summer house. Can someone recommend a rolling cooler that will fit in the frunk of a 991 C4? It is important that it not merely fit but have straps or handles so that I can lift it in and out without damaging the nose of the car. I'd like something with a collapsing handle like rolling luggage if possible.

This should work: http://www.igloocoolers.com/products...er-cooler-blue no handles though. They have some with handles as does Yeti, but then no rollers. Maybe someone else can find one for you with both features.

This is genius. The only problem I have with this would be the nasty Pabst Blue Ribbon. And Bud Light! Where is the good German beers?
To the OP, cooler bags with zippers work great, and are soft. Might be better than a plastic box beating around the frunk...Plus I bet you get more goodies in the bags than a regular cooler.

I need the wheels to help with the main load and also so I can pile a bag with dry stuff on top of the load of food.

Hope you have a good back because lifting a cooler full of ice, drinks, and food out of the frunk in a back killer.
I am, alas, older than most and weight is a consideration. Which is why I am looking for a cooler that has good insulation so that I will have to carry as little 'blue ice" as possible to keep my food cold. I don't need too much long term cooling capacity since I usually only need to keep the contents cool for between three and six hours.

My main concerns are heat from the sun hitting the frunk top lid and any heat circulating to and from the radiator. If someone knows the plumbing of the Porsche cooling system, please let me know if the is a side of the frunk that gets particularly warm from the vehicle's cooling system.

This is what we use, soft sided, has handles and wheels with a telescoping “pull” (like a suitcase) but as you can see it doesn’t take up the entire width of the frunck.
It’s too wide to put two of them side by side.
If you can’t see it from the pic, the brand is Artic Zone and it’s their “Ultra”, might check thier website to see if they make something wider if you don’t want to use two.

soft sided is the way to go. If you are worried about the weight just get 2 smaller ones. The soft sides dont take up much space and you could compact 2 together.

Sadly not a roller, but I used a Yeti Hopper 40 for taking cold food and beer up to my gf's beach house. Does a great job, use it our in Touareg as well.

This 50 qt from Walmart fits perfectly in a C2 for future reference. I also keep at least two big Costco cooler bags (~$7 ea.) in the frunk and use this one when needed (pull the cooler bags out).

This 50 qt from Walmart fits perfectly.
According to a chart on the Amazon page for this item, the dimensions are: 22.4 x 17.3 x 17.3 inches; 12.79 pounds. And, according to previous threads here, the the dimensions of the C4 frunk are 27”W x 16” D x 17”H. So it would appear that the the Coleman Extreme 50 is too deep to fit in the C4's frunk.

Could it be that you have a C2 (which I believe has a larger luggage compartment than the C4?) Or are the dimensions that I have for the frunk wrong?

Finally, does the thing actually weigh almost thirteen pounds empty? Since there is no lifting handle, I fear that trying to get it into and out of the frunk while loaded would be too much for me.

My bad (with accompanying edit of my post)... yes, C2. I took me about six months of trial and error to find a cooler that fit almost perfectly in a C2. ... or in my case RTF(title)

I’ll try to get a pic of it in the car tomorrow in better. The wheels touch (on the firewall side) but 2.5-3” at the top (firewall side) and the top (bumper side) touches about an inch of two from the top. If the wheels were removable, it would defitnely for a C4.
