I said to myself I would sell my car for the right price, just that price is really high. Wrote it all up, posted it here but nowhere else. I've sold cars in the past and I hate the annoyance that comes with listing a car on the main selling channels.

Problem is, I don't even know for sure what I'd replace it with. Lots of fun cars I want are only 2 seats, and I need the back seat often enough. Plus Northwest, so less likely to be a year round car, so that's 2 new cars. Maybe Golf R and look for a GT3, 570, 911R? Having a GTS 4 is such a compromise car in theory, but it's also so great day to day.

I'm scared if I sell it that I would miss it, and never get it back. There are zero cars like mine whenever I do a search. GTS 4, manual, no wing, no sunroof. I was looking for a used Cayman for years, knew the values, but when the spec I wanted came up, the price was crazy high--and would still sell. Supply and demand I suppose.

^ I drove a Golf R last week. Really, really nice car. 0-60 under 5 seconds. Loaded with features. Was considering it to replace a 991.1S.

I wish I had enough money to rescue all orange, naturally-aspirated, cars from their ungrateful owners!

Everyone knows that @tse is the most fervent defender of the oppressed. He just wanted to show there is a different opinion than that of _R-Rated_ among the .1 crowd.

....or maybe he is trolling his own

Duh. Everybody knows the .2 is Ferdinand’s gift to humankind. Torque that makes Hellcats jealous. Soundtrack that makes Civic LX’s with stock exhaust slightly envious. Faster than a speeding Bugatti.

We .1 with our strong resale values to the throne.

This kid got a new tranny and suddenly tough as nails!
This is tse's queue to jump in a make a comment.
I bought the car to enjoy it and figured I'm losing most of the money either way, at least on taxes and insurance...even if most of the purchase price is recouped at some point down the road. Then there is the opportunity loss as the money allocated to the GTS could have been invested and perhaps lost or multiplied.

But, and this is the important part to me, with no heirs to the Bemo throne, I figured 3 possible outcomes at the end:
1. Uncle Sam collects and Rumble Bee ends up in an automotive museum.
2. A charity that seems acceptable but one that in reality runs a terrible expense-to-donations ratio.
3. An unworthy distant relative squanders what's left and recycles the Porsche, keeping only the license plate or, likely, fake carbon fiber frame.

So ask me again about prices.
Over the next 10ish years we lose progressively.
From that point on, as the new uninitiated Rennlisters become busy comparing battery packs with shiny carbon covers at their local C&C, maybe we get a tad lucky.

Now I'm off to work...

That's crazy. The problem is what do you replace it with?
