Not about you at all. It's about how to read links and tell that they are trying to scam you or make it look like it's coming from a different source. Email scammers do the same thing using email addresses like accounts@apple.com.imascammer.ru

Hey Alex, thanks for clarifying. It was just your wording: "After multiple emails and txt messages saying that if everything checked out I would buy the car the seller finally sent me this response" made me think that you were actually serious about the car.

I am sure there are some gullible consumer who would go for it. From time to time I see someone posting on the HFS thread asking about certain craiglist listings. As you pointed, they are scams. If the price is too good to be true, then...

Let's all start texting the fake seller, and bid up the price of the car?

Thanks for the post and alerting the forum here. Very helpful to outing these scammers.

By posting the VIN# too, it may show up in someone's search. It's worked many times before on HFS.

He also posted a 997.2 C4S in Los Angeles for $41,500. Beautiful car, but probably $5k below market, and a search revealed he's done this before: WP0AB29979S720733.

I saw a similar advertisement on Carforsale. com. It was a 2009 C4S going for $23K. There was no way this was legit. I too emailed and received a response similar to yours. After a few days it drop from the site. However, there are others that are posted with similar prices and the same contact info. Buyers please BE AWARE!
Thanks

If Mark Rees is a pilot and he is the actual person trying to scam people, if was to be convicted of a felony he would lose his commercial pilots license and be unable to work as commercial pilot.

So he is a scam artist trying to sell an imaginary car and we think he is telling the truth about being a commercial pilot?
My name is Art Vandelay and I'm an architect.

I was trying to rationalize that it wasn’t a scam and just a bigger West Coast discount for a 4S/PDK.
