I think ptv, spasm, and rear axle steering will be options on the 992 base thus negating the need for a T model.

PTV, PASM are standard on '18-19 T models and rear axle steering is available as an option.

I know. If these become options on the 992 base you wont need a T model

Just speculating, but I doubt there will be a 992 "T". This was a very tricky marketing green-light. They wanted an enthusiast targeted car that wouldn't cannibalize GT3 sales. The margin for this gets very narrow once all cars (including GT) are FI.

Porsche marketing divide buyers by two axes: All-arounder, Racing Car, Purist on one axis, Basic, Premium, High-End, and Ultra High-End on the other. The Carrera T falls in the Basic-Purist category. The only other car in the Purist box is the 911R:

Extremely unlikely to ever be another T model again for many many years to come.

Thanks Sean, that is one pretty cool piece of information!

Thanks!

A little obsessive on my part... but I'm known to do that kind of thing.

After searching the treads, I have only found 20 owners/owners-to-be. All have selected manual transmission, most have standard S rims, 70% standard seats, and none have ordered the Premium or premium plus package from what I can tell.
