it was a rough day in scottsdale too. My T hasnt arrived yet. so I drank way too many white claws, planted cacti and cleaned the pool, because its 78 degrees and like a delightful bath.

That's just cruel man! We had an unexpected late spring snow squall here in the midwest yesterday. By this AM the roads were clear and dry and it was a nice sunny but cold day. I took the T out for a drive with my wife to enjoy the sunshine. Still have Sottozeros on for another week so maybe fortuitous timing for the summer tire swap!

Tires are RE71 R. Not much to choose from in 20 inch sizes. 245/35/20 front and 295/30/20. Tire rack won’t mount the smaller 295 on 11.5 .....unless you tell them wheels are for off-road only. 295 isn’t overly stretched and contact patch isn’t too much smaller than 305 PS4s on my stock wheels.
I just check out TireRack and they have them with snow's for the fall. Nice.

Hey Grant,

Did you put the new tires on new wheels to keep the original wheels pristine or are you swapping for events. Would love to hear how these performed versus the stock Pirellis. I have been autocrossing the P Zeros.

This weekend, April 5-6, I'm taking my T to New Jersey Motorsports Park for a PCA sponsored track weekend. Really looking forward to getting it on the track. I'm sure I will not approach anywhere near its handling limits but it should be a blast. Wish me luck.

Good luck and have fun. Let us know how it goes. I only joined PCA for things like this but am getting cold feet for various reasons. Might wait until next year to do some autocross, etc.

My schedule seems to have better luck with the Audi Club. There is a two-day ACNA Pacific Northwest lapping event at The Ridge Motorsport Park near Olympia on May 18th which I have signed up for. Yeepee.. first day on the track! I was looking at Track-day insurance quotes for Lockton ($762), OpenTrack ($602) and Hagerty ($722)... Yikes, but OK. (I've been watching that other first track day thread, and will do it no problem..)

Bought a set of OZ Hyper GT HLT in OEM sizes to mount RE71's. WIll swap them out for events but drive them to event. I also installed DSC Sport system to replace my stock PASM unit and ordered Sharkwerks exhaust as well. Don't think I will be competitive with faster GT3's in SCCA SS class but will have fun chasing their times. Ill be happy if I can get under a second to fastest GT3s in SS.

At my first local PCA event my T knocked off all GT cars but one GT4 on RE71s on showroom stock PS4S tires and wheels ...was tenth off his time. ...so with go fast tires better suspension tuning and go fast exhaust hoping I can get close to real fast SCCA SS guys. ...Will see. Testing car at local PCA event 4/13 and 4/14. Then off to National Tour at Crows Landing with SCCA SS class cars later this month. Still cracking up that local PCA club relegated my little T to P13 PCA class (class for GT2 RS and GT3 RS) after it burned up p10 class PAX at first event . I should have just run for fun and not caused commotion. So sorry to anyone who has a T in Nor Cal who wants to AX with PCA as you're now stuck in higher pax class due to my T doing so well at season opener. LOL!

Looking forward to hearing your feedback on the sharkwerks exhaust for the T!

Welcome! Looks like you got out on a nice initial road trip. Scenery looks like I-15, or near Mohave?
