I have actually always liked the Panamera, so in GTS trim... Black, 20" Turbo rims. GTS interior pack in black/red stitch. Classic. Test drove both Cayenne and Panamera last night back to back. Like their respective colors, night and day between both! And the Panamera was fitted with all season rubber while the Cayenne was on PZero. I will be getting it on Pilot Super Sport + a set of winters.
Macan, yes, very very nice. I had one for a month (Factory delivery, had to sell it when it arrived here...) and loved it, but I find there are too many now on the roads, plus it'll get facelifted soon.
I now understand all the rave around the Panamera and the Porsche engineering that makes the car feel so much smaller than it's actual size. And the view out front doesn't get much better for a "sedan". Not quite like my old 991.1S, but close enough in all aspects. Cayenne felt numb. No sound. Tiptronic vs PDK: Non-starter.
Given all the rave/rage out there for NA engines in 911 (and in all cars as a matter of fact), my 0.02 is that the Panamera GTS will become some kind of a classic daily ride if maintained properly. You just can't replicate that sound! Not saying it'll gain value, but I think (wishful thinking?!) value will be "ok" down the road.
Maybe I'll miss the flexibility of the Cayenne a few times a year, but I already have my brother and a good friend offering me their SUVs for those times in exchange for the Panamera! Oh and a Panamera GTS with a roofbox isn't a bad sight either!

A 2017 4S is a better car and motor than a 2016 GTS. Because of 2016 GTS pricing, I would go to the new car, ie 2017 model.
The new 2.9 twin turbo charge is a gem of an engine, and can easily be tuned for $1500.

Amazing! My boys were under the impression Inwas going for the Cayenne. When they saw the car in the delivery bay under the wrap, they were wondering where the truck was! I told ‘em it must be outside. As I walked towards the door next to them with the new key in my hand and unlocked the door of that car, they couldn’t compute! They took the wrap off. As you can see, one of them was literally blown away! I am too. I could never wrap my wad around the pricing on these machines vs an S Class or à Cayenne, but now I get it, even « used », it’s new! LOVE IT!! I say that with most of my new cars, but Îm not sure what else I could need. No, nobody NEEDS a GT3, but I sure would like to have one again! In the meantime....
