Take it from someone who is qualified to write automotive collision damage, the hood needs to be replaced. This type of dent will require a big repair area with substantial filler, a good shop will make sure all the correct decals on the underside are replaced.

This-^

The thin metal in body panels stretches when it is deformed. An aluminum "artist" with decades of experience and the right tools might be able fix it. But, a) a new hood would be cheaper and b) your local body shop is highly-unlikely to have an "artist" employed. The local shop will beat it with a hammer, sand it, and 'bondo' it. And, I'm skeptical that it would look perfect when done.

My $0.0991: if you were going to keep the car and want to keep it now, then get it done right (no bondo, Porsche-cert'd shop.)

Default Insurance

Let insurance fix it at Porsche approved shop and turn it in...there is nothing collectable about the car and your resale will suck because no one wants a wrecked 911. I would think a Porsche shop would be able to detect the work and they would get you with a back end lease charge. For sure if someone bondo's up that hood and leaves a bunch of overspray on a cut rate job it will cost you at some point. A dealer worth their salt will use a paint meter in the panels before they take it back.

The biggest advantage of lease, not to worry about situations like this. Fix it and return at end lease!

Should've hit the deer.

Taken it home, and made dinner.

I would definitely give it back as well. Not good to have a negative CarFax on a 911 :/
