Does anyone know it the Front/Rear bumpers need to be removed on a 991.2 Cabs? One dealer said yes and one said no. Also are there other complications on this kind of install if I have LCA? Thanks

Such haters! As I posted in other threads. I had one I my 09 Targa. 7 years and ~ 35K miles later no tickets. Laser hit me ~10-15 times. I’m a believer. Empirical knowledge is worth a lot.

The K40 package isn't a horrible system, it's just definitely not the best performing out there. Laser tech on the LEO side is getting significantly more advanced as the years pass and in my professional opinion, partnering with a company that's on the forefront of that battle is always a good option(AL Priority to mention one). To each their own though, that's why multiple systems exist.
As far as the bumper removals go, if a shop tells you they're not going to remove the bumper, I would venture to state that they're not doing a thorough enough installation. We remove the front and rear bumpers on every single radar installation we do on a 991. There's just no other way to professionally mount the jammers/radar receiver and run the wires properly. Remember, the effectiveness of the system HEAVILY relies on the install methods.

If you find the opportunity, try to test your setup, especially w the latest DragonEye, see if it jams it. I try to get my setup tested whenever I get a new install. If it doesn't work as intended or advertised, I take it back to the installer.

I think Nick is being commercial and kind, but I can tell you with certainty that your K40 will not jam the latest laser guns in the market. Not meant as an insult, it's just a fact.
