Looks like this can be retrofit to #1 cars too!

There was a yellow "T" at the car show in Toronto last week. That glass is weird. Sounds/looks/feels like plastic.

Deleted from my build. Not worth it for me

It's not even glass, it's a plexiglass (So plastic). You have to be so careful cleaning it and maintaining it because it'll scratch so much easier than the standard tempered glass they use. Eventually they'll develop the haze from all the micro scratches. This is probably why it's not offered in US 911 T because I think it wouldn't fly with current DOT standards

I also didn't go hardcore and didnt spec the buckets or RAS. Just configured the car to my needs and budget and called it a day. Figured if the GTS doesn't have the LW glass and sounds great with the diminished insulation, the T should be similar. I really think they have the same exhaust setup except the GTS is louder.
Having said that, if it wasn't my daily driver I would've kept the glass just to show it off. I would like knowing it's there

Carrera T glass is supposed to be Gorilla Glass (real, enhanced silicon glass), not plexiglass (acrylic):

Either Suncoast has the description wrong (most likely), or this is a different part (Or, I suppose, Porsche marketing could be wrong).

For $2,300 I'll hire a personal body guard/trainer to stand inbetween me and the cookie jar.

Both this: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...RSRWINDOW.html
and this: https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU991GTRWL.html
are described as 'lightweight plastic'.
The standard specification glass in the T and GT2RS in Euroland is described as 'lightweight glass', not plastic, not this Suncoast stuff - I hope.
