Sigh... one ardent 991.1 (NA) fan's opinion
Can't go wrong with either a 991.1 Targa or 991.2, I consider all of us fortunate if we are able to have a 911 in the garage. The turbo'd 3.0L engines are amazing in their own right IMO, just as the 3.4/3.8 991.1 engines are awesome in a different way.

Since you’re so combative, please tell me how I’m wrong with any specific comment in my post; a turbo vs NA debate was not mentioned in any way. I started with saying ANY 911(no exclusions for the cars with the most insecure owners ever) and then went on to state that the targa design was unchanged since 2013 or whenever the 991 targa first came out.

Thanks to everyone who posted. My net takeaway is that I should be able to order a 991.2 MY 2019 Targa 4S with no problems. I might even be able to order a 991.2 MY 2020 Targa GTS.

Opening thread back up. Some friends have mentioned they would like to get a Targa for themselves. At this point, there are no configurable Targa allocations for MY2019. What is the latest info regarding the Targa? Done until the 992.1 edition is released at end of 2.1 run? One more year of transition from 1.2 to 2.1 cars? Or?

Been in the market for a Targa 4S for a few months. Had dealer here in CO and one in FL tell me they could still get a non-GTS targa allocation. 2019 model year pretty sure. Seems GTS allocations are still floating around for the targa

Interesting feedback. My friend had checked with a few dealers in SoCal near where he lives, and it was no go.
