Anyone have recommendation for a transport on open trailer? Need to move an 06' Pathfinder from Texas to California. While the car is not a Porsche, but I don't want the car to be handled like a junk either. Just looking for a transport with reasonable price for open trailer. No need for closed trailer as the car is already 11 years old. I'll just do a big detail after it arrives.

Thanks

There are the number of car transport company which you can look online for the service of transportation. But make sure that you choose the genuine service who can help you in the overall transportation of your vehicle. Last night, I have read an article about Florida Transporter, who are worth hiring and genuine service provider. You can look for a similar service or else can go with other suggestions too.

Do refer online quotes before finalizing any transportation service.

I would not transport a car this time of year on an open transport. At least 150 of my 462 cars required transport (including the 991 C4S that arrived yesterday). I have used horseless carriage many, many times and they are in my opinion the best bet. They are not by any means inexpensive, but if you have ever received a car that had an issue you will know it is better to get the best than a bargain basement (which is usually who you get when you call a broker) person. Also always get as many Hi Res pictures of every angle of the car, especially the lower parts of the front, sides and rear. Good Luck.

If you use a broker, you'll likely never get a straight answer as to your vehicles whereabouts or an honest answer about anything. Also, you'll pay for enclosed trailer and scratch your head when the odometer reflects a mileage reading far in excess of what you expected. I've shipped a number of cars, not my Porsche via brokers and have had some experience that have been far less than desirable Stick with Intercity, Plycar, Reliable or Horseless Carriage, all reputable carriers that use their own vehicles.

FWIW I had my 911GTS moved from SFL to outside of Asheville NC, off the major routes. After a referral by Intercity had Applewood do the job. They did a great job moving car and spares wheels and tires. On time fair price etc.

Quote: You don’t necessarily have to use the big dogs in this industry, there are a ton of smaller companies with even better equipment, owner-operators that take pride in what they do. I transported a cayman from CA to Philly and used Wes over at airRyd.com. He has trucking company profile pages so you can see the ratings of the specific carrier being used for your transport. Including photos of their equipment , how many loads they’ve completed , from what I’ve seen based on my research it’s by far the most in depth site out there . Very reasonable pricing and has a good knowledge of the industry being a former car transporter himself. The broker industry is definitely full of snakes looking to make a quick buck and collect deposits.
You posted this several times in multiple forums so Is this your brother-in-law or another relative?

Understand; however, someone reported your multiple posts so I had to ask.

I have been a broker for over 16+ years. We have always been direct , and communicative ! It is the ONLY way to keep a business! I understand the industry is saturated with unscrupulous players , as in any field.
Our client base ,private or dealers call us direct- over and over. Feel free to PM me for rates and schedules.
We are reviewed and recommended by other Rennlisters !!

Just booked my car with @BearsTransport yesterday. Super quick pickup timing and really affordable given the car is coming to Seattle from West Palm Beach, fully covered. Highly recommend. Liz is great.
