I just had this happen to one of my two key fobs. Battery was fine. The LEDs would blink when the buttons were pushed. The car stopped recognizing it. I had to get my dealer to re-associate it - that same key fob works now.
Possible, but weird, as, if true, it means that it is possible to disturb car locking operation if intended so. I have entry&drive and sure hope that there is a way to lock my car no matter what EM environment I am in. Need to check it now.
I've had zero issues with my E&D. And even when the key batteries were low (got the dash warning/alert) everything still worked just fine.
Since when did Kim Jong Un visit your city?
All kidding aside, the entry and drive feature imo is not well implemented by Porsche. There is also the risk of car jacking. One reason I went without it this time (had it on my last car).

I'm curious what your beefs are for Porsche's implementation of this? Not trying to say they aren't valid, just to understand where my own perception of this system may be off. My only other experience with an enter and drive type system is on my VW Touareg, which behaves pretty much the same (although has a very occasional hiccup.) Not surprising since they likely share parts and design.
Overall, I'm quite happy with the system in both of my cars and can't imagine not having it.
