Track precision app

Bump
any updates on how well it works?
Debating whether to get it on the T I’m about to order. I don’t love the Chrono clock on the dash, but would order it for the Track app. As you know, the T comes with all the features of the Sport Chrono standard, but without the clock and the Track app. Adding them costs a modest ~$300. But then I would want to paint it, so that’s another ~$500...

Sounds like another Sport Chrono function disappointment!
I think I will stay w my ApexPro and old 987.1! Besides, it’s more fun to learn to drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slow 🤣

Does anyone have the data to import Sonoma raceway (aka Infineon, aka Sears Point) into the application - my version doesn't appear to contain this track. I'm assuming the file is a set of coordinates in an xml file(?)
I have used the app at Laguna and Thunderhill but there is nothing for Sonoma

I've used it at Thunderhill and Laguna on my '17 GTS. I kind of like it, and it works well for me. And if you import the data into an iPad later you get a ton more plots and data to play with.

Well lucky some of you are making good use of the app. I bought the sport chrono package to use the app during track days (really liked the gas brake steering telemetry recording) only to find that due to some retarded wireless regulations in S Korea I cannot connect to the app.
Thank you dealer for letting me know after the fact
i just use harrys LapTimer. Great app but no telemetry info.

I got a kiwi3 on Massdrop order, to get obd data to the app. Extra $10 (for me as well) off using this link:

Came to this thread in hopes of finding easy solution for my track app frustration. My first day with it at the track today and it was nothing but a pain in the ***. Went back to Harry’s with Kiwi OBD after the third session. Alas, I guess I did find my easy solution...

I've been trying to connect my GoPro to the app. Supposedly GoPro can be added as an external video as an option under the Track app's video tab. The Track app's pop up dialog box indicates that you have to connect your Gopro to the Track app using your smartphone. Once you do that it disconnects the car's wifi from the Track App. Anyone figured this out?
Also are there any instructions to the app somewhere in the Porsche world?
Thanks Stormrone your tutorial was helpful to get me this far.
BTW I have a Carrera S with Sportschron and the Track App works with this model.
