Well then the 5 series should be out. While car enthusiasts would appreciate the m550i and even 540i to some degree, vast majority of the populous just see another BMW sedan.

This thread cracks me up! You never said “why” you sold your 991.1 and then I can kind of see the Panamera (it's a P-car and almost a 4 door 911), but the BMW sedan, and then a RR? Really? this post is confusing because I have no idea what you are buying a car for?
I have a 991 and a RR sport. I use them for 2 totally different things.
If I only could have one car to use and it needed it to do everything I would probably consider the new Panamera or the Audi RS7. is that the dilemma? the RR sport is cool but its no sports car.

IMO only one of your options was a 911 and this is Rennlist/991 forums. I am voting for 991.2 
Have a 991.2 C4 in GT Silver and I actually freaking love it. It does everything so well, it's remarkable. Aggressive sports car for spirited driving, comfortable with all the amenities for daily driving (vent/heated seats, parking sensors, backup camera, Bose, 14 way seats, good visibility, great compliant suspension).
It is the best sports car in the world. Plenty comfortable for highway driving, daily driving, track duty, all weather duty. There is no substitute (for the 911)!!!!!!
