Default Crazy 911 Driving in Traffic

My son pointed this out to me. It was taken last Friday, 1/26.

Someone out there isn't making a good name for us. I'm trying not to be hypocritical; I know I'm not always the model driver... but this certainly makes me look like an angel.

I'll first post the longer YouTube video, then the "Idiots In Cars" sub-Reddit if you are interested in the comments.

There are always idiots around, on highways, back roads, local streets - doesn't matter the car, I see Hondas and Subis doing the same thing all the time. Its the expensive card though that gets more of the attention.

Nonetheless, the guy or gal is a douche and endangering others and should be caught and arrested for reckless driving.

I don't think driving crazy is car, gender, or race specific. There's plenty of blame to go around.

Hard to see the vanity plate on that car, but I think it said "dick".

I remember once about 20 years ago I was driving my Tahoe and was exiting a freeway. Out of nowhere a 911 blew past me on the shoulder to exit himself. It was going so fast that my Tahoe moved a about a foot to the left. It scared the crap out of my then 8 year-old daughter. It then stood on the brakes all the way up an extended off .amp. I've seen stupid stuff daily on the freeway but this was the one we remember, she mentioned it just last week.

I belong to the local Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes Clubs. For some reason, the P club has a higher number of "pr*cks". Last year while leaving a parking as a group....people were racing and cutting each other off. When we reached the Nipomo Dunes....there was not enough parking and a member started screaming at the local park ranger, very embarrassing. A member had an event at his house and one member parked in the drive was kept revving up his engine in one of the loudest exhaust system I have ever heard while people were sitting down having lunch a few yards away.
I think members and people in general were more respectful 10+ years ago when I first joined. BTW....I am in LA.....lol.

we all know BMW drivers are the biggest ******. My friend recently bought a new BMW (coming from a Lexus) and said people are ****** to him on the road because he is in a BMW. I don't experience this in Porsches. Although I have seen many Porsche drivers being dicks.

I am all for spirited driving on public roads. I've done my fair share of putting my own life in danger (or an unsuspecting deer)....but never anybody else's life. That crosses the line for me. This guy is a nut and a danger to everyone else.

The biggest dicks on the road are always driving [INSERT ANY CAR BRAND HERE]. And they're typically [INSERT RACE YOU DISLIKE] [INSERT GENDER YOU'RE NOT].

Assume everything you type might end up in the New York Times.
Assume everything you do in your car will be captured by someone’s dash cam.

I saw something like that about 10 years ago: A Turbo Cab weaving through traffic at night with ~50 mph overtake rates. About 20 seconds later a trooper more-or-less doing the same thing. A couple of minutes later traffic became thick and slow. It took about 5 minutes to go the next mile or two. Sure-enough: Turbo Cab upside down in the median.
