Just a quick test to make sure it works, and it does! Forgive the mess, and the janky setup, just wanted to ensure I had all the ribbon cables properly hooked up before going further on this.
Great man, please keep feeding us info about your installation and a quick review once done, I really appreciate it.
Any threads/posts illustrating on how to remove interior trim and PCM?
The instructions from NM Automotive detail the removal. I had a head up on this as I did the GT 4 short shifter last year so this time it was very easy.
There are also a pair of videos that are very useful. I'll post up more soon.
Had Sidvicious7 came over and tackled the camera and CarPlay. The process, to me at least, was very challenging, with Sidvicous knowing where and what to remove (he did all the work), still took at least a good 8 hours. But along the way, it was lot of fun exchanging notes about the p-cars. What a great day!! Thanks again Sidvicious7!
im planning to compile a video and points out what I think to look for, tips and tricks.
Please stay tune. We also decide to do a tech day install in the near future with our neighbors p car, 991, stay tune for that invite if anyone is interested.

That’s a great idea TsaiCo. What is so ironic while conducting the install at TsaiCo home yesterday a fellow 50th owner I met almost four years ago at the Auto Club Race Way happened to be walking his dog and stopped to chat. He has also expressed interest in the CarPlay Kit. Keep me posted TsaiCo.

Fantastic, let us know your future plans for the tech day and video compilation.
What shows in the radio mode on the dash mini screen when in CarPlay mode? Aux in?
Last week I decided to verify if I can listen to my FM stations and view Waze in the CarPlay mode. I was able to listen to my FM stations while in the CarPlay mode; however, Waze will mute but I was able to read the directions on my PCM display without an issue.
Where do I keep/placed my USB cable. For my vehicle I elected to place the USB cable in my center console. The install for a fellow Rennlister his choice was to run the USB cable out of the passenger’s side panel. You can also run the cable to the glove compartment. Also, I discovered that the OEM USB port in the glove compartment still functions in a capacity for an iPod and will charge the phone (CarPlay mode is not capable unless the installer modifies the port for CarPlay with the proper USB adapter/cable).
