Hot climates? Do 991.2 have a cooling problem in hot climates under regular driving?

Under regular driving (even slightly spirited driving) I can anecdotally claim I've had zero issues with cooling. My 991.2 C4S went on a road trip last summer which included several days with long sessions in 100+ F conditions and under various driving profiles: long highway runs, low speed (20-40mph) with lots of stops/starts through national park roads. Joshua Tree clocked in at 113 F. The AC worked great, and in sport mode the car kept the oil at no more than 219F all day long. Don't use normal mode, though, since it let the oil get up to 234F. I've learned to not believe the coolant temp readings since it likes to claim 194F no matter what.

Driving on the track, well that's a different topic and I'm not qualified to participate - unless we're talking about a really long Starbucks drive-through.

Does this part come standard on any model? Or did Porsche release this for those who track/hot climates?

Watching my GT4's coolant and oil temps drop whenever I hit the Sport button made me happy—they were closer to what I like to see than the "for emissions" temps the car ran in the Normal mode, and the cooling system would go to that setting on its own if I got after the car on back roads—ironically running cooler when pressed than when running around town.

I'm with R_Rated: If this would lower running temps, it can't be a bad thing. If Suncoast could find a way to pair the offering with mesh grilles for all three openings, I'd be very interested indeed. Would make for a very good excuse to remove the front bumper and get in there.

Has always been available to order as parts and not a factory option except the Middle East where all Carrera's come standard with it.

ACC has a trim piece that hangs down over the open radiator opening vs being part of the center bumper opening cap.
