I have their normal exhaust (not race) on a 991.1 C2. They're local to me, too. Can't recommend Alex and his team enough.

By "normal exhaust" do you mean the center muffler bypass aka X-pipe?

One of the easiest way to improve the 991 Non-PSE exhaust tone is our Center Muffler Bypass X-Pipe, which makes a great compliment to either the factory side mufflers or to Fabspeed's Maxflo/Supercup Performance Side Exhaust System.

Also saves 12 pounds from factory and frees up additional power/torque

If you decide to go full exhaust (cat back) I did an install photo-journal on mine, though I don't think I posted it here on Rennlist. I have it over on 6 speed on-line. It will walk you through the whole install process, its not a difficult install, you just have to get the car up and the rear wheels off. Here's the link and photos:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...91s-today.html

there's even a video I did of the Tubi (as best I could) if you scroll through the thread a few pages.

What I have not seen is a comprehensive compare/contrast or pro/con discussion of different relatively low-cost non-PSE exhaust mods.

I recently bought a 2013 991.1 C2S with all the options I wanted, except PSE. In addition to adding this ~$4k factory mod, I'm considering:

1) Sharkwerks Xpipe (center muffler delete)
2) Fister side mufflers - either stand-alone or in conjunction w/Sharkwerks center delete
3) AWE Xpipe - again, stand-alone or in conjunction with Fister side mufflers
4) Full Tubi - which is about the same cost as PSE

The only downside to 1) that I can find is that it renders one exhaust tip non-functional, and it might create some vibration in non-Sport or + mode

I'd love to hear feedback on different combos, options I've missed, experiences etc, with an eye on value i.e. ~50% of PSE cost. If cost were no object, I'd probably just go w/PSE, but I wonder if there's a good, less expensive option.

Thanks!
Anyone with experience with Remus or Borla? Both seem to make full exhaust replacements.

Borla is a Walmart if exhausts. Kind of an industry benchmark kinda way. High quality choice for American cars, like magnadlow. Not the same quality as Akrapovic, IPE or KVD.

Remus is a solid product made well but not special IMO. A friend has it and wishes he’d got something more aggressive. It is made well though.

Thanks, man. The more I read, the more I like Tubi. It’s expensive, but seems worth the $$$

I would go with Tubi if you want to stay in that price range. No holds barred, Akra is the way to go IMO.

Agreed. If you call up Champion in Florida (US Distributor for Tubi) you may be able to sweet talk a discount on an exhaust. I was able to get a few hundred off.

LOVE my Sharkwerks X Pipe:
(same setup as mine)

And on an S:

Still retains two stock mufflers, so could be a lot louder still. But it’s really loud, and one of the more throaty and gruff setups I’ve heard.

I have my SOUL performance setup for sale:

I wish they built something like this for my new car.
