Default Last minute config change

Does anyone have experience with last minute config change? I have an order for a T which expected to go into production 1/19 per my SA. I would like to remove 1 option now but my SA said it is now locked (V220?). Does anyone know who I can contact to help pull a string to help remove this 1 option from my build? I am hoping if any, the production either just started, or about to start.

Thanks in advance.

I've done this twice now (changed my options after the lock date). However, both were European delivery and I changed my options well before production start. PCNA had to go to the factory directly to make the change because the dealer could not make any changes after the lock date.

I'd call PCNA directly and beg. I doubt you will get them to change it this close to the production start though. Good luck.

Keep in mind those dates on the tracking system are always a Friday. That very well could mean next Monday. Better get on it.

Tried PCNA and SA, PCNA discussed with my SA that he's done all he could by contacting the distribution center. They said it's locked.

I'm just thinking production haven't started someone could pull some strings to help remove the option.

Anyone have contacts at Porsche Germany? :P

I just went through this on my build, once you’re locked you’re done, and locking sometimes occurs before the vehicle fixed date. SS - you really pulled a rabbit out of the hat!

It *may* be possible, but likely not unless you have a serious “in.” FWIW, I was able to change an order after locked status, but it bumped my build date out nearly two months.

Given all the problems with delivery times being reported, unless it was a real money saver like $8K for PCCB's, I'd leave it alone. I wouldn't want to risk somehow getting kicked out of line over something that at least at one time I wanted.

Schmee can do that for you.

I tried Shmee lol, no luck.

I want to remove the power folding mirror. Realized with standard mirror it would be the sport design mirror (hollow).

Power folding are better than sport design anyway.

Another +1 for the power folding side mirrors. I went back and forth on this option for my GTS (the sport design are standard in the GTS). I opted for the power folding because I live in LA and the less exposed car when it is parked on a public street, the better.

No way you're getting a change 10 days from production.
