Default New Car!

My last 911 was with PDK and though I enjoyed it wasn't quite the same. I found this one online and my dealer here in Santa Barbara was able to get for me. Not sure about the rev matching in sport mode but otherwise is a gem. It took me maybe 2 minutes to forget about the paddles from the PDK...... I find the manual more relaxing to drive.

Nice car! That is exactly the build I am looking for too. Manuals for life! Mind telling what state you found it in, and how hard it was your local dealer to procure? It seems like all the cars I'm interested in are out of state too.

I travel a lot overseas (so I have a ton of time at night during my endless jet lag sessions!). I knew I wanted a car by Christmas so I started looking on Cars.com and various other search engines. This car was in Chicago, Illinois. There were, I think, 5 or 6 cars nationwide I liked and I sent links for them to my dealer at home in California. I flagged this one as my favorite as I like simple colors and nice but not extravagant options. I also wanted rear wheel drive. Anyway, enough of the story.... My dealer was able to trade a car they had in the pipeline that could still be optioned out for this one. I think but don't know for sure that the car I got was ordered by someone who changed their mind..... I feel pretty lucky. Car is a blast to drive and feels like the car I would have ordered anyway. Good luck with search.

Congrats on your new car.

Appears to be colored and spec'd very similar to mine.

It's a great car, enjoy it.
