In Vegas for the holiday, got to drive a GT3, on track
Well, it’s 991 related. Was at the in-laws in Green Valley/Vegas and the wife and I decided to head to Exotic Racing to take some laps on the track in a GT3. Wow! first time on a track and in a GT3, wow, it was awesome and a bit frightening at the same time, I can’t believe how these car drive in the style they were born to drive. I know I never got close to the limit, but OMG, what a rush, 9,000 rpms sound soooo nice! Can’t believe the grip on these cars, instructor was pretty good about telling me what to do but I absolutely realized how crappy a driver I was quickly after he took me for a couple laps when he was driving, I about had a heart attack, lol. At least I got a primer for learning to drive my C2 better.

I’d like to hear titan7’s comments, but I found it to be very commercial. There’s lots of upselling. It felt more like an amusement park to me than a track day. The cost varies depending on the cars you choose and the number of laps that you drive. The driving instructors are overly cautious, although they do loosen up once they see that you can drive and follow instructions. I don’t blame them for being cautious; they see dozens of people every day who are hungover, who don’t speak English as their primary language (or at all), and who think they are the next Lewis Hamilton. Don’t get me wrong - it’s fun, and you get to drive cool cars.
I drove a GT3 and a Ferrari F430 Scuderia when I was there. As I recall, I did 7 laps in each. That cost me roughly $900.

I went there about 3 years ago. That was my first track experience and first time driving a GT3. Now I own a 2016 GT3 so I guess that was a very expensive experience! 7 laps per car is a good way to go because you take a few laps getting used to the car. The first time down the straight is frightening because that first turn comes up fast and you're just going by what the instructor tells you to do. I've been there twice and spent about $1,200 each time driving a handful of cars. It's not cheap but I would have spent more than that if I spent all of the time it took to go there in the casino.

Been to both Exotics Racing and Dream Racing in Vegas... both are solid and a lot of fun although not cheap. I'd say the track at Exotics Racing is slightly more interesting given there is some elevation change but the overall experience at Dream Racing is better (ie. simulator, one instructor over multiple cars, etc). At Exotics Racing I drove a Nissan GTR, Corvette Z06, and Ferrari 458 Italia then the year after at Dream Racing drove the new R8 V10 Plus, AMG GT-S, and Ferrari 488 GTB.
Unfortunately didn't get a chance to go back when I was in Vegas earlier this year but wanted to drive the new NSX, McLaren 650S, and Ferrari F12 among others. Next time!

Sounds like you just found your next car!
Gotta say, they are not the fastest, not the best handling, a bit finicky at times, but there is nothing like them if your are a P-Car fanboy/girl!

Similar track and driving experience on S. Las Vegas Blvd near M hotel in Henderson- Ferrari’s, Lamborghini, MB. Shelby and Porsche. They had a very bad accident last spring in a Lamborghini. I think, both client/driver and instructor did not survive. Very tragic.

The Lamborghini crash that killed the instructor was in Orlando. I’ve done that experience too. I liked it much better than the Vegas experience. It’s closed now, after the tragic accident.

We got a Black Friday deal, it was $280 for 7 laps for each of us, yes that straight was scary as you think you will run out of track as we are going 100+ but hitting the breaking points and steering points as directed the car is amazing. I was scared we were going too fast and I would loose traction, but that car just stuck like it was on rails! Wow. Very impressed. Gonna try the PEC in a C2S next month for more training.
