I will have to look up COV $$. The harness price is shown below. Has the car in for other work and had them done then. A few are harder to get which requires rear bumper removal. I think parts all in for like $600 or so plus labor I bought them all myself and brought them to the dealer. They wanted at least 30%+ more thru them.
Really overkill to replace them all, but I am that kind of guy

I would just suggest replace as needed if they fail. Usually seems to be a couple common ones. Related to moisture problems and the new harness has a better gasket I believe to seal up the connection.
How do you know if you have the older PCM or not (or does anyone know what date the newer PCM came in)?
Mine doesn’t have the backup camera option and at night the tint/hue is slightly more purple/blue-ish than my 2015 Macan’s PCM (which was pitch black) but other than that it seems identical.

If I recall correctly, you can bring up the version somewhere on the PCM menu. Been a while when I confirmed mine was the first version.

Something like you can add aftermarket cameras with the newer version which you cannot with early 2012.5’s
Yes no factory camera until 2015 is correct I believe. I know no 2013 for sure and most likely no 2014.

My early 2013 has had the early service actions/TSBs and since then has had a window switch replaced. Otherwise solid at 4 years. Oh, the PSE change over valve just failed too so it's on all the time now
Let's see.... 3rd brake light failure, interior tranny hump cards falling off, change over valves, mysterious anti-freeze loss, interior door cards de-laminating, water pump failure, several others I've blocked out....oh and ....complete PDK failure just out of warranty. Caveat emptor

What they do offer is a third party extension (run by Toyota in this case, it probably varies by dealer) for about $1000 a year. It’s a powertrain plus kind of thing with no deductible and pays to any certified mechanic supposedly. They said as long as car is under 9 years old they can add any 2-5 year plan so if you time it right theoretically you could get to 14 years.
Asked service advisor about it and he said not to get it because it doesn’t cover some of the typical little things like O2 sensors etc. but that’s not why anyone would get it anyway IMO. When I asked what about 15K transmissions and 30K engines (probably 50k if your core is damaged) and he said good point but those things just don’t break. 🤔
Still trying to figure out why he didn’t recommend it since I assume his department gets fully paid either way.
