And if you think about it, the pulls would help to eliminate weight that is relatively high up in the car.

I've found that there is no way to make the OEM RS pulls a direct/clean fit. Working on my own solution now.

Do you not realize how much weight the regular handles have hanging up on those doors on twisties?
they are plastic.
If weight savings is your goal there are likely better ways to deploy funds into the car.
I see this mod as purely aesthetic. And I would do it in a heartbeat.

We did all the "kilo" projects first.
Now we are working on the "gram" projects.

3D printed prototypes are on the way
This should be a fun project. The goal is 100% OEM look with absolutely no irreversible modifications required.

Superb.
The strap has always cracked me up next to the chrome-tipped power window switches and power mirror controls. Not all that easy/nice to use, either, and plenty of times passengers were confused—thought about changing mine to red just so they could see it. Would never install these in black, but do like the look in red.

What was the hangup in the end?

Any reason why the .1 RS wouldn't be a clean fit for a gt3.2 door ? Or completely different door panel ?

Very interested in this as well. I looked into this a couple of years ago with no success.
