Default de-tune the motor?

Here is a silly question.

Would it be possible to de-tune the engine so that one is driving with less horsepower than is available stock?

I love my P but honestly for normal street use its too many horses. 60kph is the speedlimit in Korea and you hit that half a second into second gear.

not to say that i don't love the immense power that the car allows when possible and the track days when I can let it all open of course. but in the city, i would love for it it have a hundred less horses and I can really enjoy the car.

I used to drive a less than 100 horsepower manual hatchback Kia as a daily commuter and that was by far the funnest car to drive in the city.

Dont press the throttle hard then...

Maybe you should get rid of your P and get a V?

Just ask your dealership to re-install the predelivery tune.

You bascially want a "valet" mode. Some sports cars offer that switchable mode.

usccharles, I agree with you, this would be nice to have, I am not joking. A "turn off boost" button?

IMO 981 Cayman with the smaller 2.7L is better in this regard.

Trade your P car in for a Honda Fit for both feet? You could wear them like roller skates.

Learn to roll into the throttle gently, and enjoy the nice sound of the engine slowly revving up. You don't have to hammer it every time you take off
