Price check for a 2013 991.1 Carrera PDK
#32
Quick search on cars.com shows the cheapest 2013 base in the US at 45900.00 w/ 95k miles. The rest are all listed at 50k +.
The closest listings I could find that match this car were all starting in the mid 50’s.

this is the cheapest 991 below 60k miles in the USA....private party that does not provide vin.
saying that this is a 45k car is not accurate.

Also, you're referencing asking prices, which are often arrived at right after sellers take a hit on the crack pipe. They're not actual sale prices.

You do know the difference between asking prices and actual sale prices right? Porsche owners tend to have a very inflated view of the value of their cars.

I do know the difference between asking prices and actual sale prices and while I appreciate your input, I still disagree with your statement.
Saying that a 991 base carrera with 53k miles is a 45k car....while some 997.1 sell for 40k +...is incorrect.
If this was a 45k car, the dealer would not have offered 47 k as a trade in.
That is a fact.

I also agree with you on that... But I've found it's more prevalent on 997s when it comes to modern cars... Try and find a nice 997.2 under 55... Makes 991s seem like deals, and the 991 is newer and objectively faster...

47k was the dealer offer according to the OP.
Asking prices and actual sale prices on these cars are very close.

Dunno that I'd race yours with mine, but yes... for now ;-( I confess a lack of space and redundant car in my 73 bmw 2002 (which I cannot ever sell) , I fear the Alfa will go eventually... I just am delaying it as much as possible ! Too bad you're in LA, would have enjoyed a family picture of the italians ;-)

You won’t even find a salvaged 991 going for $45K, any year or mileage.
Anyone who buys this at $48K is sitting on profit. A dealer doesn’t buy a car for $47K without having significant upside. Market prices for 991’s are not hard to find.
Being conservative, you can get a buyer for $52K. Considering how highly priced 991’s are, with that mileage I feel I could sell it for a couple or few K more. In SoCal, with a desirable color/options combo, high $50’s isn’t even out of the question.

Keep the Alfa! If I ever come to SF I will make sure to hit you up.

And don't forget, what 997.1's are asking for in their ads is NOT what they are actually selling for. If all the information that you have is what you see in the ads, then all you have is the ask, which is typically well above the bid.

Auction cars don't count in my book, generally they have a bad history or were not good enough to be sold by dealers... Gonna do a search - they may have dropped a lot since I last looked...
EDIT: cheapest on carmax is 56. Cheapest 991 on autotrader is 60-something... Cheapest on autotempest high 50s... Still not seeing 4xxxx cars..pray tell where...
