thankfully, you're alright and you turned a bad situation to a better one by getting a newer car

Wow, so sorry to hear about your loss. Glad everyone is fine though.

You spec'd out an amazing car. That SBM is gonna put a smile on your face every time you see it!

Glad you are all OK and no-one was injured!

From looking at the picture it doesn't look too bad and one would think it can be fixed. But when you read about the damage to the frame, and suspension bits, which are aluminum, that sounds expensive.
A real bummer, as it was a really nice car with a great build!

Congrats on the new car! I am sure you will enjoy it tremendously.

I'll look forward to see you at the track! Congrats, congrats, congrats!
Thanks, Dan!

Thanks! My wife really loves the color too, so it is win-win!

Not to diminish the OP's loss in any way, but living in a college town with sorority girls has its benefits too...

Wow... Terrible situation, but at least you and your wife are OK-ish and able to upgrade* to a .2 GTS.

*by "upgrade", I mean downgrade to a .2, obviously

Well, if there is a silver lining to this, you get to change from a black car to a blue car.

Hey @Hurricane, just saw your post. Couldn’t believe story when you told me at AX event, but it sounded like you were looking forward to finding SB 991. Building your own is way to go. Congrats on new car - very special - and looking forward to seeing it in person next season!

Thanks! Yes, they are - Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 tires on 20" Carrera S wheels.

Same as these: https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU991WWP2.html

Unfortunately I am pretty sure that they will not fit your car (a 4S, these were from my S) because of the wheel offsets.

I will take photos of them this weekend (used for three winters, maybe 2k miles total, wheels are flawless, includes center caps) and probably post them on our local Porsche forum. (And join Rennlist and maybe do the same.).

LOL. Sadly they just all look like kids now. I had a moment a few years ago when interacting with one of our cheerleaders and her mom where I realized the mom was much more attractive to me. That is the day I officially became OLD!
