Well my sleuthing was a fun exercise, but my prediction was all wrong. Car is onboard the Siem Cicero and currently is in the English Channel. VW Logistics shows the destination of the vessel as Jacksonville, however Vesselfinder.com shows it going to Halifax which I presume means a drop there and on to Davisville. Dealer says all of their cars come in through Davisville. The VW report was written 10/12 so perhaps VW Logistics has shuffled the schedule. In any event, the car is on a ship 2 weeks earlier than planned. Should be at my dealer around Thanksgiving I would think.

Well my car made the Canopus Leader ( only transport this month to San Diego) so I am happy too. Someone said that the weather has messed up the transport schedules. Now the Viking Queen is going to Jacksonville ( and left early) and the Siem Cicero is not. Siem Cicero should get to Halifax on the 4th.

According to my SA the car is definitely onboard the Siem Cicero. It made it from Emden to Halifax on time, but unfortunately it loitered offshore for 3 days before berthing there yesterday. The dock where it tied up had been empty during that time, so who knows why there was the 3 day delay. Anyway, the Cicero departed Halifax this morning and is due at Davisville tomorrow at 7 PM. Anyone who has a vehicle on the Siem Cicero, your wait is getting shorter!

Anyone know the average time between a ship docking and a car leaving on a truck? I am sure there are a lot of variables so probably not a good question. In any event I would think it will be in Virginia by Thanksgiving, but what the hell do I know? Cheers

Don't want to get you hopes up. My 2016 was off loaded and at my dealer 2 days after it reached port. This was before diesel-gate impacted port deliveries.

Wow! If I get it within a week I'll be happy, but 2 days is outstanding!

My GTS arrived at Davisville on 11/2 (6:25am). According to my SA, it was "assigned" to transport on 11/3. The car arrived at the dealer yesterday (11/8) just after noon. Your experience may vary. I hope to pick it up tomorrow or Saturday.

I drove submarines in and out of Halifax. The north Atlantic can be very rough this time of year so they probably had some weather.

My 911 took one week from port to my hands at my dealer. Another rennlister on the same boat got his in 3 days but his dealership was closer.

The MV Siem Cicero docked at Davisville at 5:54 this morning after spending the night 20-30 miles offshore RI, so at least my GTS is finally in the US! Fingers are crossed for delivery next week. I have some personal bad news, I will be out of town Thanksgiving week so if it doesn't get to the dealer by the end of next week it certainly will be there the week I am gone.

Need pictures as soon as you are able to get the grin off your face and operate a camera

Cicero left Davisville at 5 PM today bound for Houston. My car is on the ground in RI. All I need now is a car carrier
