Great thread. I picked up my 15 GTS about 6 weeks ago. Its really a special car.

Of course would have liked to have the CL's, manual, and sunroof. But the fact that I get to own this machine is quite a gift.

Love Rhodium on a GTS. Has a nice contrast with black / red rotors. Has a different hue based on lighting. Always looks clean and hides dirt. And shows the lines of the 991 so nice.

Favorite feature of this car is the noise over 3100 RPM when the extra sounds kick in.

A few pics from recent drives and a service visit.

Great looking GTS. Is that your second or third set of rear tires. Curious how many miles people are getting out of their 305s. I know track and hard driving make a big difference.

Those wheelwells look pretty full to me. How much wider with rubber or spacers can you go before it starts rubbing?

P Zeros? It drove me crazy on my previous 997 to have to put P zeros on the rear at the first tire change b/c the fronts were not worn. The MPSS was a much better riding and handling tire for that car....and a lot cheaper too.

I agree the CL is a better looking wheel, but you will appreciate the 5 lugs the first time you get a nail in one of those big tires far away from a dealer!

My S had the glass sunroof and although I really liked how it made the interior brighter, I don't miss it as much as I thought I would. Definitely quieter without it and doesn't get as hot when parked outside.

What surprised me was how much different the PSE sounds between the two cars. I thought it might be my imagination, but my wife commented on it Saturday, her first ride in the car. She described it as more of a deep rumble than the C2S which also had PSE.

With a 20" setup we can do a 20"x13" rear with 335 Michelin Pilot Super Sport of Pirelli Corsa.

In a 21" setup we can do 21"x12.5" rears with 325's.

Neither setup requires spacers since we specialize in custom forged wheels that are built to the specs desired. No rubbing on either of these setups either.

Question

Looking at some new shoes for the 2015 GTS Cab. It currently has the P-zero, but someone was saying the MPSS were more comfortable riding tire. Not so hard as the Pzero.

I found this on the Michellin Site and wondered if anyone has tried them or any thoughts about them >>>Click...

So is the MPSS more comfortable than the Pzero

and is the New MPS4s look like it may be a better Sun and cold weather rain tire?

Location Northern California...

From Storm Rune:

This was in an article from the PCA: "The Pilot Sport 4S launches in March, initially in two sizes with Porsche’s N-specification: 235/35ZR20/XL (92Y) N0 and 265/35ZR20/XL (99Y) N0."

Just got the MPS4s installed and the little Iļø drove, Iļø could tell this was a ā€œnext levelā€ tire.
Much quieter and more comfortable than the atrocious Pirelliā€™s. It was raining too and the car was super composed. Iļø am mindful of the fact that the break-in distance is around 500 miles and Iļø have not yet unlocked the full handling potential of these puppies.

Super happy with the new purchase

Iā€™m in N Cal and have a 2015 GTS Cab. Iļø have 2 sets of tires on 2 different wheel sets. Black Stock Wheels get MPSS which go on nov-feb/March. Cup2s go on in the spring and summer for track days.

Iļø had P-Zeros on and they were terrible. Hard riding and not a lot of grip. MPSS is much smoother and Iļø found them to be more grippy. Cup2s are just awesome if you can deal with them waring our quickly and a harsher ride.

Either way you go Iā€™d recommend investing in a lighter color wheel so you can have 2 sets of tires / 2 different looks / 2 different driving feels.

Iļø donā€™t think you can go wrong with any of the Michelin tires for this car.
