Default Sunscreen on Leather

I just noticed that I got sunscreen on parts of my leather seats after golfing this past weekend where my exposed arms rubbed against the side bolsters. Tried wiping it with a damp rag with water, but of course sunscreen being waterproof, that didn't work so well. I ordered some leather cleaner from Amazon but won't arrive until Wednesday. Any household products safe enough to remove it quickly? I googled and someone mentioned corn starch or soap + water. I fear that soapy water may dry out the natural oils in the leather. Do you think it's ok to leave it for a day or two until my ordered leather cleaner arrives? Any other alternatives?

Thanks!

I use colorex wipes. Wipe gently and don't rub it so it won't rub off the dye.

Clorox wipes?

I will probably wait for my leather cleaner to arrive or a very diluted amount of Dawn liquid soap and water.

Did the exact sane thing on my Audi. Wife suggested the diluted Dawn fix and it worked great. Started out with 10/1 mix water/Dawn and added a bit more. Stain gone. Went over the spot with leather conditioner after I let it dry. Good luck.

Always keep an orange bottle of the Lexol Leather Cleaner around. Easy to find. Diluted Woolite is also a good choice.

Similar to the diluted Dawn/water mix I've being using Woolite/water (1/10 or 1/8 ratio) mix in vehicles (BMW M5, Mercedes ML350, Honda S2000, BMW 328) with leather interior (dashboard, seats, door panels, etc.) with very good results for years. It is my go to mix for cleaning and removing stains from vinyl/fabric/leather car interior surfaces.

You can use virtually any soap-based cleaner, it won't hurt the leather. You have a finished leather on the car seats (which means its pigmented, or painted), it's not a pure aniline - so there is no cleaner that is going to harm it - just don't get crazy strong stuff after it such as a bleach-based product. All leather cleaners you buy are essentially water-based diluted soaps anyways.

I'd stay away form the Clorox...warm water, you can use a little hand soap in the water, and a mf towel.

Thank you everyone. Problem solved as my leather cleaner from Amazon arrived early. A few sprays of Chemical Guys leather cleaner on a MF towel wiped it clean in seconds. Leather feels soft, without any artificial odors, and dries quickly. I think many of these products are very similar and does its job well.
