He also apparently converted a white Porsche Cayman (first two pics) into a Red 991 Carrera S (rest of pics).....not a bad DIY!

"Isn't it obvious? He's removing the seats, front bumper, and headlights to get to the homelink module. "

Looks like a lot of extra work just to get a red mark on your steering wheel.

Instead of electrical tape, you should consider this kind of tape. Exactly the right width, and durable for daily handling.

Nice but the OCD in me would have trimmed the tape that's overlapping.

Have you used this? How would you describe it's look and feel? Would love to see pics.

redid it to make it more even but with the contour it doesn't look like it needs to be trimmed in person.

I've been using this tape for about a year now. The current strip is my second application of it. The first application was wearing fine, but it shifted a little during a hot summer autocross session this past July, so I removed the old tape (no residue, which is nice) and put a new strip on. Just one pass around is all that's needed. The roll is huge, which makes it a great value for the money. One of my friends with a black/yellow color scheme on his GT4 bought the yellow version of this tape for his wheel. The tape has a nice matte finish, is durable, perfect width, and is not difficult to apply if it ever needs to be replaced.

Looks great....Ordered.

Will be a great additional accent to my GR SC dial, GR seatbelts and red/black CocoMats, on an otherwise all black interior.

Thanks! It looks fantastic. I think I’ll get grey and see how it compliments my Platinum/black interior.

I agree, it should look great with your interior. I have a similar interior to yours, but without the SC.

Unfortunately the 991.2 steering wheel doesn't have the 12 o'clock stitched strip in the leather
