Those corner spots in parking structures scare me. Look at all those tire marks on the white line by your front bumper. That's the line all the morons like to take that come flying around that corner on the way down to the exit. Or are they the lines the morons take that come flying around that corner on the way to a higher floor. Either way....Scary!!!
That said....nice pic!!!

Cars parked alone out of site from other cars are more likely to get broken into. I just pick a spot that is further away from people but still visible. If it's at a grocery store, I'll park up hill so gravity won't send a stray shopping cart me way.

First thing I thought too. Would never pick that spot. Otherwise, totally with you!

Yes yes. I'm fully aware of corner spots. This was a relatively quiet garage at that time of day, in the middle of downtown Palo Alto. Was just going in to the Apple store for 15 minutes to pick up a 4K Apple TV. I don't think I would park it for a prolonged period of time by itself or that corner. Makes for better photos there I also do not like to park on inclined ramps. I've had too many experiences where ignorant people let gravity open their doors without thinking about their surroundings.

I use my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for anything that involves parking. Roof off. Doors unlocked. They can steal whatever they want because there's nothing to steal. Lock the doors and they'll break the window.

I can't find the article but there was a couple featured on Panorama that bought a brand new 996 TTS and someone keyed it the first week of ownership. Had to send it to get it resprayed. They drove it for 240k+ miles and sold it for a brand new 991.1 TTS. First week of ownership, bam, keyed again. How I try to manage this is parking out in the open so there is less cover for the vandal, but still far enough to reduce the amount of people willing to walk far enough to park next to me. But, things happen and all the mitigating we do won't lead to prevention. I used to get heart broken any time there was any blemish on my cars but now, every time I go out, I expect there to be rock chips, I may have to run over a twig, hit a squirrel, have a bird fly into my driver's side mirror, drive through a construction zone that throws up sand, etc. Someone parking too close is also something I can't control. Worst case, I take it to a good body shop and it's good as new.
