Door trim is coming loose - Upgrade to Leather?
So I know this is somewhat common and should be an easy warranty conversation.
Mine is just starting and bows up more when it's hot.
I can't find prices online of the door panels to compare leather vs non leather. Mine is non leather and I'm considering trying to see if I can pay the difference to upgrade to leather. Anyone else done this?

Unless you have the leather dash which ties in the whole look, not worth it.
The leather door panels are very $$. Someone has mentioned pricing before. Don’t think a warranty issue will let you credit the difference and upgrade anyway. They order the exact replacement part and gets covered by Porsche. Doing a “credit” would make it difficult for them to do warranty coverage.

I had an issue with the drivers door panel on my 991 that was replaced under warranty. It was black leather with deviated stitching.
if I recall correctly the single door panel in leather was either $2600 or $3600.

Leather interior strip
I had my aluminum strip replaced with red leather, and of course the door part was the most difficult/expensive. The door panel needs to be removed, and the strip is attached with pop-out rivets. I had the work done by a leather shop near where I live.

I'm guessing they are not sold separately, as they are plastic welded onto the door panel. I had mine covered in stealth red carbon fiber.
I was going to copy FloridaMarco's red leather look, but the dash pieces were on a long back order so I went custom instead.
btw, I agree, without the leather dash, leather door cards might look odd.
