Default Code reader for OB plug?

I am new to Porsche with my first one on order. I like to do a some maintenance. Certainly oil changes. I have some handheld tuners for my other cars that are useful but do not know a lot about what is good for a 911.

What are some options for handheld devices that can check and clear codes? What would I need to reset the oil interval after a oil change?

Thanks

Look into the Durametrics.

^^ Great alternative to the Durametric.

I'm still undecided if I should get a durametric or the IcarSoft. I'm planning on doing my own oil changes and service interval.

Since the Icarsoft is cheaper than the durametric, is there something the icarsoft won't do? I read that neither will reset these intervals like the factory, but instead, they will do a hard reset to zero miles instead of 20k for example. Not sure if this is true or not.

Thank you for the inputs.

durametric does many other functions: coding modules, logging data, etc.

the icarsoft would be the cheaper ( half price) option if resetting service is your basic need.

Does either device work on the 991.2?

Does either one do the DME rev overruns?

+1. Worked great in my Macan too when I had that car. As mentioned about all it is good for is resetting service reminders which is why I bought it in the first place.
