Default Tail light... again

Driving casually today and get someone flashing the lights at me from behind... comes around and tells me that my tail light is out and hanging by the wire.

happened about a year ago on the right, now it’s the left side.

will see if warranty will cover it, but it sure seems like a bad design.

Terrible. Not sure if it is the design or something else? Was any backend work done on car and maybe the tech put them back in incorrectly? Looks like some clips are broken. Could be someone hit it without you knowing it. Having both fall out like that is really weird.

Porsche must be for poor people in Dubai - I thought everyone had enzos's and veyrons there? Maybe previous owner just didn't take care of it?

Having looked at the later model taillights, there is a metal bracket added to prevent exactly this from happening. Mine is 2012.5 and it has old design without this bracket/support

Not much to take care of in that end, it was serviced by Porsche dealer every time, it’s not like anyone removed the lights except them.

I wasn't meaning to troll and understand how that pic could have come across so I deleted it.

Porsche upgraded to metal brackets from the brittleness of the plastic. Taking the tail lights on/off and not being careful would break the clips and nobody would know until something like this happens. There may have been a stress fracture from service or something hitting the tail light that became worse over time from the vibrations and then one day this happens.

I don't know how CPO works where you are but hoping you have it...
