caught the 911 itch once more; new 991.2
Hello folks,
For a brief (re) introduction, I joined the forum in 2010 when I got my first 991 - a C2 997.2 (avatar). After a couple of years, a third child was underway. In an effort to keep with Porsche, I got a P4S to drop of three kids at school/daycare or drive myself and or my wife. Dropped the P4S for a BMW 750Xi trying to carry the entire family with a fairly powerful family sedan, but while it was a great refined car to drive and be driven in, I never felt any emotional attachment to the car. That brought be back to square 1, a 911, albeit the newer generation.
I spent the last few months on this forum mulling about getting a 991.1 C2S, 991.2 C2 or a 991.2 C2S which were all within reason for my finances -did not consider any C4 (s) as I do not intend to drive the car in winter. With all the input and raving on STG's 991.1 purchase thread, I very nearly came close to getting a 2016 991.1C2S but eventually settled for the new 991.2 C2. The 991.2 C2S is already going to be more powerful for what I would need on a daily basis and I simply found no realistic compelling reason at this point to reach for a C2S. I shall not be tracking the car.
Thanks to STG and all others on the forum who have shared their likes and griped about their vehicles as this input (somewhat) facilitated the decision making.
The car has all options as well as more importantly, the color I needed except for a two tone leather in black/luxor beige which would have been what I would have ordered if I had the patience to do so. I found this at a local dealer and decided to start enjoying the car rather than waiting on an order.
Hope to chime in more on the forum. Cheers

You're right. Already giving this some thought. I have an Escort in the picture but am considering wiring a Valentine...or I might have to quickly earn to keep a light foot.

Thanks to those who chimed in for the warm welcome back
I was admittedly hoping there might indeed be some sunglasses in the works for me too, but I guess that was for those involved in the lawsuit. Too bad they have discontinued the interior this year. the glare I thinks is not that bad but it's a personal thing. My prior 911 had a black interior but well over 3/4 of the cars I have owned have been beige/non black interiors
