Retro fitting SportDesign mirror on 991.2
Hi guys,
Abit of background, I live in a third world country with one of the most chaotic automotive industry ever. I've placed an order on 991.2 C4GTS earlier this year with my local dealer which they then order it from third party autodealer in UK.
Because GTS trims have SportDesign side mirrors as standard, I didn't bother with any option regarding the side mirrors. Today my dealer just sent me a picture of the car waiting to be shipped from the UK. The problem? It has electric folding mirrors. I hate that. Now it could have been a mistake from my local dealer, the third party dealer, or Porsche factory, I have no idea and I doubt anyone will take the responsibility.
But I still really want that SportDesign mirror even if it means I have to shell out a bit from my own pocket. Does anyone know if it's possible to do the conversion? And where might I find the replacement?

It is pretty straight forward to swap out standard mirrors to sport design mirrors. However since you have the button for the electric folding mirrors, you will also have to get a new window switch unless you can live with a dead button.
Here is a good video on removal
