Bose: 2013 vs 2014+
I have a '13 991 & a '14 981 both with Bose. The system in the Cayman is substantially better than the 911.
Was there a change in the parts or quality of the system post-'13?

Perhaps it's the speaker or tweeters? Not sure.

Bose for 991.1:
"The optional BOSE® Surround Sound System was specially developed for the Porsche 911 and is therefore perfectly tuned to the car’s specific interior acoustics. It has a total output of 445 watts and comprises 8 amplifier channels, 12 loudspeakers including a 200-watt active subwoofer. The combined effect is a balanced acoustic pattern that transforms your new Porsche 911 into a concert hall. The BOSE®-patented AudioPilot® noise compensation technology uses a microphone to continuously monitor the ambient noise inside the vehicle and adapts music playback instantly and automatically."
Bose for 991.2:
"The optional BOSE® Surround Sound System has been specially developed for the 911 models and is optimally tuned to the specific interior acoustics of these particular vehicles. The audio system features 12 fully active loudspeakers and amplifier channels including a patented 100-watt active subwoofer integral to the vehicle bodyshell. This fully active system setup enables each individual loudspeaker to be optimally adapted to the vehicle interior and transforms the 911 into a fast-moving concert hall. Total output 555 watts."

New 991.2 on order with Bose, so fingers crossed regarding the upgrade from the 991.1's.
