I agree with the need for a green option in the standard
color palette...A more subtle orange or even a copper color
would be great too, perhaps something like Zanzibar Red
Metallic or Nordic Gold Metallic.
Oh, no!

Maybe they think gold belongs on an old lady's Lexus sedan.
Right! I personally love 'Gold' Lexus with matching wheels!
And I think PAG should add it as you suggest to the current
color palette!

Sorry maxwell, but 'Lime Gold Metallic' as a color option is buried
at the cemetery for unpopular/unsuccessful Porsche colors located
in Feuerbach, near Zuffenhausen. It took us years to get that color
to die & we will not let anyone bring it back! So it's in an unmarked
grave so that it can not be resurrected by even the most devoted
fans of Kitsch! 'Nordic Gold Metallic' is buried in a mossy crypt a
few meters away, so it will have good company in eternal life at
Valhalla!

No, it's not that newly discovered 'Blue' hue. 'Club Blau' is
based on a Porsche vintage 911 color from MY1974 called
'Acid Blue' / 'Bahama Blue'. It was made a few shades
different from the original 'Acid Blue' formula to make it

Love it! Just the briefest glimpse of a Blue Turquoise (L25D) 993 in the middle (after the jellybean). I was desperate for one of those as my first 911 in the late-nineties, but my search never turned up a C2 coupe 6M with black interior during my 18 months of looking. Great sadness ensued...

Eduardo, please write the damn book before I'm too old to enjoy all the photos of every color produced by PAG.
Still pleased with the choice of Viper, BTW. I've had it over a week and no trade in plans yet!

In 2014 we went car shopping, and there was a used Cayman S at the local dealership in Lime Gold Metallic at a reduced price. My wife described it as "baby poo green."
I still regret selling my '97 C2 in PY. Looks so good in person.
Yes, a classic, elegant color. Perfect on a Boxster or 911 Cab. Maybe a 911 coupe, but somehow the size of the car now makes it less likely to be my color choice for that particular variety.

The 993s were tiny compared to the current iteration of 911s. I'm conflicted because I admit at this point I like ventilated seats, NAV, Apple Car Play, etc. but I still miss driving the 993s in many ways.

I had a lightly modded 993 as well. I miss driving it on a pretty day, and the sound and smell of the air cooled motors, but on a day when I need a little AC, I'm happy to be in more modern car. And I don't miss trying to keep a 20+ yr old car in perfect, showroom condition. It was a losing battle. Maybe some day when I have more time......
