I'm not sure what is normal or not normal since I have only ordered two new Porsches in the last four years - both from the same place. In both cases, the dealer didn't even mention a down payment - The discussion never even came up. Also, both were European Delivery where a 19% VAT tax is normally required to be paid by the customer and then reimbursed once your car is stateside. Again, in both cases, the dealership didn't even mention it and they dealt with the VAT tax themselves. I was a nobody off the street too. The dealership is Porsche of the Mainline outside of Philadelphia. They are awesome.
They are my dealer as well and yes, they are INCREDIBLE when it comes to that. They make car buying (too) easy lol.

Completely agree on Porsche of the Mainline. They were fantastic to deal with and very fair. Ask for Mr. Grape. Seriously. Frank Tucci is the sales Manager - both he and Tim Grape are friends of Rennlist.
I live 1/2 mile from Porsche of the Main Line, they are terrific to deal with. They will actually be doing the winter tire storage swap deal on my car plus my wife's S5 and my sons S3.

Just picked up my 2018 Targa 4 GTS...sticker was $160,440. Dealer took $10K right off the top (roughly 6.5%), the deal took less than an hour...I will post the pics and details later. Right now, looking for a good clear bra installer in the Washington DC Metro area.

Use proshieldinc.com. Dave has done everyone of my cars in the last 10+ years and did my RS too. Always perfect.

Good deal! We got 5% on a ‘17 Targa 4 GTS last month. Ironically was almost exactly the same build as her exclusive build when we were at PEC. No lines, no waiting. Wife is happy! Lol. Great car!
