Default Sell my 991.2 privately or to dealer ?

I'm getting a divorce. Wife told me in late April after 27 years of marriage and 31 years of knowing her. I'm screwed. At least no small children as our daughter is 24 years old.

Porsche West Broward offered me 80k for my 3,200 mile 2017 991.2 base. How much more could I get privately ? And where to advertise ?

Racing Yellow
PDK
Power Steering Plus
Power Sport Seats 14 way with memory
Porsche crest
Wheel center caps with colored Porsche crest

I bought the car from Champion Porsche in February.

Any idea how much more I could get privately ?

Privately, maybe $90.

Sell it to your best trusted buddy for $78 with the agreement that you get to buy it back in a year when the smoke clears.

Good luck.

Interesting that you think the car is worth 90k.

Now I only owe $78,900 on it as I have made another payment recently.

In one more year and another 5,000 miles on the clock.......how much less will the car be worth, guess ?

Screw that. Have your buddy buy it for one dollar today; buy it back for $1 after the divorce is finalized.

"Here is your half of the 911. $0.50!"

Dump it now, regroup after it's over, then buy another. During this process it's best to eliminate any additional stress.

I'd imagine her attorney is a little smarter than that.

Take the $80K from West Broward yesterday! NO WAY you'll get more than $80K from a private buyer today. NO WAY.

I said maybe 90. I figure the Porsche dealership won't get out of bed unless they make about 10 grand.

It only has a $96K MSRP !!

Dealer will buy for $80K, and maybe make $8K.

Private buyer, no way they'll pay more than $80K

Maybe mull it over another week.

Would simplify life........or maybe let it go tomorrow to the dealer.

I'm sure once I let it go it will be water under the bridge.

$96,425 actually

I don't really drive it much, I've autocrossed it half a dozen times. Have the stock tires in the garage......give it to the dealer and walk away from both the car payment and the insurance.

I guess I can always autocross and daily my 2018 WRX.

I haven't had one car since I was 25.........27 years ago !

Simplify......

Sad as it is losing a companion after so long remember as a user you cant advertise or sell on rennlist. Try taking 18 bucks out of your tight little fist and joining so that you can try and sell or advertise on the list.

You will have a hard time getting more than that from a private sale for a base car that stickered at $96,425. You lost $10k driving it off the lot and the rest over five months and 3200 miles later. I would take the trade.

Actually, I would still get rid of the Subaru and keep the 911, if I was getting a divorce.
