I just want to clarify that $4,700 number as being the price of a new, factory GTS turbo alone and $4,200 for a Base/S turbo. If you go with an aftermarket tune be it Cobb, GIAC, etc and a factory turbo blows you'll be responsible to buy a new one at whatever price your dealer will charge because Porsche will not warranty that turbo. That was not an installation cost. You'll never see us (Suncoast Parts) quote labor over the phone or online.
UPDATE! Porsche is now including the brake cooling hardware and we have adjusted the price of the kit. At the new lower price it's even more of an amazing deal than before!

As in one of my previous posts, the dealership wanted to treat the installation two phases "initial prep work and installation of all components will tally 17.5 hours. The calibrations, coding, alignment, setting readiness and driving the car, will tally an additional 6 hours." Thus, at their labor rate I would be paying $12,200US which equates to about $400 per horsepower.
I'm glad to see Suncoast has stepped up by reducing their already attractive price.
How many hours will you be charged to get the unit installed and properly ready for the road?

Here in the UK I have been quoted by my dealer £4072 for the kit and £1350 for fitting. So £5422, which is roughly $7050 all in. I do have PCCB and RWS so not sure if this has affected the quote? Haven't spoken to the dealer yet - this info was supplied by email.

I was quoted $3k for the installation by my dealer. I won't do the project if I'm paying that much for the installation. I really need installation instructions from somewhere to help me decide if this is even feasible for a self install (less ecu flash).

Flickroll the installation document is thirty pages long. I have a copy but can't pass it on (watermark). There are numerous diagrams and pictures that refer to parts - you need to take the rear suspension assembly out..............
Ask your dealer to show you the instructions then you can make up your mind

My service centre gave me a copy so that I could make the decision - yours will do the same.

In terms of times the 9A2 in X51/GTS configuration delivers some blistering outcomes - perhaps the most interesting are the results from Hockenheim Short (times by Chris Gebhardt - from Sport Auto)

Per the link, the Hockenheim short time for the GTS is 1:08 flat, faster than a 991.1 GT3 RS (1.08.4) and 991.1 TURBO (1.08.2). That is CRAZY. Hard to tell from the translation, but that 991.2 GTS tested might have been running p nero Corsas... I hope so. Otherwise, if it was running stock p zeros (non corsas), it would be faster still with Corsas.
Also, tested at Nordschleife at 7:24, another insane number. Per this article, way faster than new NSX (7:36) that was running Trofeo R's! btw, the NSX ran Hockenheim at 1:10 on Trofeos... (https://translate.google.com/transla...e/&prev=search)
Not that the NSX is the fastest thing out there, but it gives perspective.
Other nordschleife times per the NSX article linked:
