Default 2018 911 Turbo Wheel Offset Question

I was playing with the Porsche configurator and had a question about the offset of the rear wheels.

The "911 Turbo Wheels" are 11.5 x 20 ET 76 with 305/30 ZR 20 tires (rear)
The "Sport Classic Wheels" are 11.5 x 20 ET 56 with 305/30 ZR 20 tires (rear)

Both wheels are 5-Lug, but the offsets are 76 and 56 respectively. A 20mm difference seems significant. That would mean the "Sport Classic Wheels" would be 20mm (0.79") further out, which seems like a lot.

Could someone explain why these two wheels have such different offsets. Thanks!

I think you are in the wrong forum.... All turbos come with ET56 for wide body. ET76 is for the narrow CS

Or maybe the configurator is wrong. It has happened.

Nope. Depends upon the wheel. But, ET56 is the most-common.

Rear wheel offset needs to be in the 50-60 range.

I guess the configurator is wrong. I tried both the USA configurator and the Germany configurator for the 2018 911 Turbo with the 20" 911 Turbo Wheels and got "Hinterachse: 11,5 J x 20 (ET 76) mit Reifen 305/30 ZR 20".

Outside possibility that PAG is putting a spacer on to fit the ET76 wheel.
My bet is on bad data.

According to the 911 Turbo brochure, the offset is ET56 for the rear turbo wheels.

Looks like Porsche makes the turbo wheels for the rear in two different offsets.

Makes a little more sense. The ET 76 wheels are only for the narrow-body 911 and S.

However, according to the chart the 911 Turbo Wheels won't fit a Turbo. LOL.

Obviously a mistake since the ET56 wheels fit a Turbo(S).

Porsche listed the same wheels as compatible for the turbo(s) but with winter tires. Pretty funny.

If you're interested in a general guide for fitment and offset, take a look at the link below - it's quite comprehensive but really easy to understand and good general knowledge.
